Fund drive planned for new uniforms

The Humboldt Music Boosters are asking the community for help in a major project to replace the Humboldt High School Marching Band uniforms and Concert Chorale robes. The current marching band uniforms and choir attire have served Humboldt High School well for the past 20 years, and are now worn thin. The high school marching band needs to purchase 150 new uniforms. They will cost $475 per uniform, which totals to approximately $72,000. Concert Chorale needs to purchase 100 new choir robes. They will cost $180 per robe, which totals to $18,000. The Humboldt Music Boosters is asking people to purchase a pair of pants ($135), coat ($225), hat ($80), a choir robe ($180) or even an entire band uniform ($475). A tax deductible donation of $300 or more enables a family or business to have a name etched into a brown brick on the Education Foundation’s Wall of Fame at the high school cafeteria.
