A gift that keeps on giving

Christmas is the season of giving and one way community-minded citizens can give a gift that keeps on giving is to contribute to the Humboldt Community School Educational Foundation. The foundation is a non-profit entity that was founded in December of 1992, as a mechanism to allow community tax-deductible support to the local education system. The purposes of the foundation are as follows: • To maintain, develop and expand the facilities and programs of the Humboldt Community School District. • To provide broader educational opportunities to the students, faculty and residents of the district. This past fall, the Educational Foundation approved $26,000 in donations to the school.
