Mickelson wins NCC wrestling title, Wildcats place 3rd

Senior Adam Mickelson won the 195-pound class and the Humboldt High wrestling team placed third in the team scoring of the North Central Conference Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 24 in Clear Lake. Mickelson improved his record to 32-5 on the year by beating Ace Walton of Clear Lake, 5-0 in the championship match. Humboldt totaled 175 team points to finish behind first-place Clarion-Goldfield-Dows (199.5) and Webster City (177.5). Clear Lake was fourth at 170 in the eight-team field of schools.See full story in the Humboldt Independent.
