Danny Zach is new Humboldt boys’ soccer coach

A new era is underway at Humboldt High School as Danny Zach begins his first year as head coach of the Wildcat boys’ soccer team. Zach, currently in his fourth year teaching religion at Fort Dodge St. Edmond High School, is excited to get the season underway. “I’m excited to get the season underway, work with the boys and see how we can develop as a squad,” Zach said. Zach, who has helped coach other sports at St. Edmond, brings an extensive soccer background. Zach, a Columbus, NE, native, played two seasons on the Briar Cliff University men’s soccer team. He graduated from Briar Cliff. He attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for two years before transferring to Briar Cliff. See full story in the Humboldt Independent Newspaper.
