Humboldt baseball team to host 3A district tournament

The Iowa High School Athletic Association released post-season pairings for Class 3A and Humboldt will host a district tournament July 17-20. The Wildcats will play Algona in a first round game on Friday, July 17, 7 p.m. Gilbert and Iowa Falls-Alden meet in the other first round game earlier in the evening at 5 p.m.The district final game will be played in Humboldt on Monday, July 20, 7 p.m. with the winner advancing to a substate tournament game in Boone on July 22.The other half of the substate has Boone hosting a district. On July 17 in Boone, Perry and Webster City meet at 5 p.m. with Boone and Nevada meeting at 7 p.m. in the second game.
