Wildcat baseball team seeks outright NCC championship

The Humboldt High baseball team can win the North Central Conference championship in outright fashion with a victory over visiting Iowa Falls-Alden on Friday, July 10 in Humboldt. The Wildcats are currently 11-2 in the NCC. Clear Lake's 2-0 loss to Fort Dodge St. Edmond on July 8 gave the Lions an 11-3 league record.Humboldt is currently 20-5 overall coming off victories over St. Edmond (12-0) and Manson-Northwest Webster (13-3) on July 7.The Wildcats visit Bishop Garrigan on July 9 in non-conference play. Friday's action with Iowa Falls-Alden begins with the JV game at 5:30 p.m., followed by the varsity at 7:30.Humboldt wraps up its regular season on July 13-14.
