Humboldt girls fall in regional semifinal, 6-0

The Humboldt girls softball team ended their season in a 6-0 loss at Dallas Center-Grimes Saturday night (July 11) in a Class 4A regional semifinal. HHS finishes 20-11.Humboldt opened Class 4A Regional Tournament play in successful fashion Thursday night (July 9) by shutting out Webster City, 9-0 at Wildcat Field.Humboldt led 2-0 after four innings and then broke the game open with a seven-run seventh inning. Humboldt pounded 12 hits, led by Taylor Gidel who drilled a 3-run homer in the seventh and finished with three hits.
