Jacobson settles in on Coe College baseball team
For Ben Jacobson, the future with the Coe College baseball team looks promising. Jacobson, a former Twin River Valley and Humboldt High School standout, completed his sophomore year at the school in Cedar Rapids and had a hand in the Kohawks’ impressive 2015 season in which Coe set a school record for most wins in a season (34) and finished runner-up in the NCAA Division III regional. Jacobson, who pitches and plays third base, appeared in 13 games at the plate, collecting seven hits out of 21 at-bats with five runs scored, one home run and five RBI, good enough for a .333 average.
