Wildcat volleyball team wins conference championship!
The Humboldt High volleyball team won the North Central Conference championship outright Thursday night (Oct. 22) by turning back Iowa Falls-Alden in 4 sets, 25-14, 25-23, 13-25 and 25-14. The win moved Humboldt to 7-0 in the NCC while IFA slipped to 6-1. Humboldt will take a 27-4 record into their first round Class 3A regional tournament match on Monday, Oct. 26, against Clarion-Goldfield-Dows. The match begins at 7 p.m.Humboldt split two matches at Grimes on Oct. 20. Humboldt fell to Dallas Center-Grimes (27-25, 18-25, 9-15) and defeated Boone (25-21, 25-15).See full story in the Humboldt Independent Newspaper.
