Humboldt girls upset No. 9 Bulldogs, 54-48

Humboldt's varsity girls' basketball team moved into sole possession of 1st place in the North Central Conference standings by turning back No.9 ranked and previously unbeaten Hampton-Dumont, 54-48 Friday night (Dec. 18) in Hampton. The triumph improved Humboldt's season record to 5-2, 4-0 in conference play. The triumph was also Humboldt's fifth straight victory after opening the season with a pair of losses.Humboldt will wrap up its pre-Christmas schedule when they visit Garner-Hayfield/Ventura on Monday, Dec. 21, in Garner.
