More than 185,000 meals packaged
Gargantuan, “of immense size, extent or quantity; of exceedingly great scope or nature,” as in a gargantuan effort: that’s an apt description of what took place last Friday and Saturday at the Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. Over 900 local volunteers packed more than 185,000 meals for the hungry, all part of the Meals from the Heartland meal-raising effort coordinated by the Humboldt County Ministerial Association and the Team 4 Hungry Committee which works and supervises to make sure the assembly line production process works to a tee.
