HHS boys edged by 3 shots at Algona

Algona edged Humboldt by three shots (174-177) in a boys’ conference dual golf meet at Algona Country Club on April 22. The host Bulldogs were led by meet medalist Jackson Helmers with a 39. Humboldt was led by Andy Nelson with a 42. Jack Arndt shot 43, Kelly Kayser 44 and Hudson Gargano added a 48. Humboldt blistered the Pocahontas Country Club course by shooting a 158 to edge Pocahontas (158-159) in non-conference action on April 19. Andy Nelson shot a one-under-par 35 to lead Humboldt. Next action for Humboldt is a conference triangular at Hampton on Friday, April 29. Fort Dodge St. Edmond will also be in attendance.
