Lonning places 8th at nationals
Josie Lonning has taken her marksmanship talents to the next level and apparently hasn’t missed a beat. Lonning, a freshman at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO, is a member of the school’s shotgun sports team, which captured its historic 13th consecutive Division I title at the ACUI Collegiate Clay Target Championships April 3 in San Antonio, TX. Lonning, a 2015 Humboldt High School graduate, placed eighth nationally in the international trap competition, 11th in American trap (3 targets out of first-place) and eighth in the combined scores. The two-day event was held at the National Shooting Complex. The Lindenwood Lions had two perfect scores of 100/100 from two of her teammates and 99/100 scores from five other teammates.See full story in the Humboldt Independent Newspaper.
