Humboldt boys 6th in NCC, sectional golf tournaments

Humboldt's varsity boys' golf team placed sixth in the North Central Conference tournament held Tuesday, May 10, at Humboldt Country Club. Hudson Gargano shot a 41 to pace the Wildcats, who totaled 173 in the nine-hole event, which was rescheduled from the previous day due to thunderstorms.Hudson Gargano shot a 41 to pace the Wildcats. Isaac Thurm shot a 43, Jack Arndt 44 and Kelly Kayser 45 to lead the Wildcats. Webster City won the team title with 148 strokes. Clear Lake was second at 152 and Fort Dodge St. Edmond third at 155.Humboldt ended its season by placing sixth in the Class 3A sectional at Alleman on May 12.
