Humboldt girls place 5th in 3A state golf tournament

The Humboldt girls golf team ended their season with a fifth-place finish in the Class 3A state tournament Wednesday (June 1) at Coldwater Links Course in Ames. The Wildcats finished the two-day tournament with an overall score of 751. Atlantic (696), Clear Lake (736), Centerville (742) and Shenandoah (750) took the top four positions in the team scoring. North Fayette Valley was sixth at 770, MOC-Floyd Valley seventh with 781 strokes and West Liberty eighth with 782.

Brooke Anderson led Humboldt with overall score of 180. Avery Terwilliger was second at 187 and Halie George shot 190.
