HHS baseball team clinches share of NCC championship!!

The Humboldt High baseball team clinched a share of the North Central Conference championship by stopping Fort Dodge St. Edmond, 3-1 on July 1 in Humboldt. The Wildcats moved to 18-7 overall, 12-0 in league play with two conference games left in the regular season. Senior pitcher Chris Witzke limited SE to three hits and struck out 10. The Wildcats totaled five hits in the game with Joey Busse and Brady Shelgren each with a double to spark the Wildcat offense.

Humboldt climbed to 17-7 on the season, 11-0 in the North Central Conference after edging Webster City, 1-0 Wednesday night (June 28) in Humboldt. A balk was called which moved across the winning run. Devon Clark was the winning pitcher for the Wildcats.
