Jacobson played key role at Coe
Ben Jacobson had no trouble assuming a leadership role on the Coe College baseball team last spring.
With one season left in his career, Jacobson hopes to lead the Kohawks to bigger and better things in 2017.
Jacobson, a 2013 Humboldt High School graduate, led the Kohawk pitching staff with a 7-1 overall won-loss record, including five wins in Iowa Conference play.
Jacobson, a second-team all-conference pick and a third-team all-region selection, pitched 67.2 innings compiling an earned run average of 4.79. He had 41 strikeouts and 23 walks. Jacobson started in 25 of the 30 games played
