Clark named co-offensive coordinator at Illinois State

Dan Clark’s climb up the coaching ladder continues.
Clark, a Livermore native who begins his fourth season as an assistant coach on the Illinois State University football team, has taken on a new role as co-offensive coordinator of the Redbirds.
Clark, who will continue to coach the offensive line and serve as running game coordinator, will work alongside assistant Billy Dicken, who will also coach the quarterbacks.
Head coach Brock Spack made the announcement in late June after the departure of assistant Kurt Beathard for family reasons.
“I’m excited for the new opportunity. I’m happy coach Spack gave coach Dicken and I the co-coordinator role,” Clark said. “He stayed within the staff and elevated one of his assistants to wide receivers and coach Dicken will coach quarterbacks. I’ll stay with the offensive line. It’s exciting that we don’t have to re-invent the wheel. He didn’t go outside the family to find a coordinator.”
