Fareway Stores, Inc. hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, Sept. 26, for a new store to be located at 1700 10th Ave. N. in Humboldt, which will replace the existing location at 710 First Avenue N.
The new location will provide for an approximately 19,000 square foot Fareway grocery store.
“This is a great day for Humboldt and it is the loyalty of all our customers for the past 46 years that has made this day possible,” said Frederick Greiner, Fareway President and Chief Operating Officer.
“It’s time for a new store (in Humboldt) and we are excited and anxious to get a new store started here,” Greiner said.
