Humboldt High school solidified its position as a perennial power in north central Iowa Cross Country with another dominating performance in 2016.
The Wildcats swept both the girls and boys team titles in the North Central Conference meet and also qualified for the Class 3A state championships, with the girls placing ninth and the boys 11th.
The girls, for the first time ever, won their fourth straight NCC crown while the boys claimed the NCC title for the first time in 22 years.
The Wildcats were recognized at the team’s potluck dinner banquet held Monday night, Nov. 7. Humboldt head coach Dean Clasen and assistant Rhonda Van Pelt distributed awards and recognized the Wildcats for their efforts.
