Late rally lifts Lions past Humboldt boys, 79-71

Clear Lake rallied in the final 4:00 of the game to upend Humboldt, 79-71 Thursday night (Jan. 19) in a North Central Conference boys basketball game in the Humboldt gym. Devon Clark scored 21 points and Drew Thomas made 20 to lead Humboldt in scoring. Jamison Heinz made nine, Owen Terwilliger eight and Ryan Courtney five for the Wildcats, who slipped to 5-5 overall on the season, 3-3 in conference play. Humboldt returns to action Friday night (Jan. 20) when they visit Fort Dodge St. Edmond in another NCC contest.
