Jaden Kampen wins NCC wrestling title, Wildcats 4th

Humboldt senior Jaden Kampen won the 145-pound class in leading the Humboldt Wildcat wrestling team to a fourth-place finish in the team scoring of the North Central Conference tournament on Saturday, Jan. 21. Kampen was one of four finalists for the Wildcats, who totaled 144 points. Webster City won the team title with 199.5 points, followed by Clarion-Goldfield-Dows with 190 and Algona at 169. Iowa Falls-Alden was fifth with 135.5, Clear Lake sixth at 110, Hampton-Dumont seventh with 93 and Fort Dodge St. Edmond eighth with 34.

Humboldt also got runner-up finishes from senior 160-pounder Gus Arnold, sophomore 138-pounder Joey Busse and freshman 113-pounder Cole Nelson.
