Wildcat boys seek another NCC track championship

Coming off a North Central Conference championship season, Humboldt veteran boys’ track coach Greg Wickett feels he has a team capable of winning another title in 2017.
Returning 17 lettermen certainly will help. Several were also part of six events that competed in the state meet.
“One of our goals this season is to win another conference title. We do have some sprinters we have to replace from last season, along with some field events people,” Wickett said. “But have a good group of eight seniors back. Most of those guys contributed to that effort last year and they will provide some good leadership.”
“Winning a championship like we did last year, once you do it, you want to experience it again,” Wickett said. “These guys have come into this year with some high expectations and are excited. Hopefully we can put up another good effort this season.”

Humboldt will host the annual Charlie Bunn Relays on Friday, April 7, starting at 5 p.m. with the field events.
