Wildcat boys win EG's Umstead Relays

The Humboldt High boys' track team began their outdoor season by winning the team title in the Umstead Relays at Eagle Grove on Tuesday, April 2.
The Wildcats won eight events to claim the top spot. Wildcat junior Matt Miller set a meet record in the 400-meters in 50.52 seconds. Quinton Orr won the 3,200 in 10:27.38. Jamison Heinz won the long jump with a leap of 19-11. Owen Terwilliger won the shot put with a heave measuring 51-2. The Wildcats also won the 4x100 relay in 45.19, the 4.400 relay in 3:40.09, the shuttle hurdle relay in 1:03.56 and the distance medley relay in 3:57.67.
The Wildcats will host their own Charlie Bunn Relays on Friday, April 5, starting at 5 p.m.
