Humboldt blanks Algona, 7-0

Ellie Jacobson struck out 17 Algona batters and allowed one hit to lead the Humboldt softball team over Algona, 7-0, Friday night (June 28) in Algona. The North Central Conference victory moved Humboldt moved to 22-2 overall, 8-1 in conference play. Kyah Arnold, Carlie Thompson and Jori Hajek each had two hits for Humboldt.

Humboldt downs Webster City, 5-3
The Humboldt softball team picked up a key conference win at Webster City Wednesday night, turning back the Lynx 5-3. Jacobson pitched a 3-hitter and Mady Lange went 3-for-3 at the plate to power the Wildcats, who totaled five hits.

Wildcat girls pound Pocahontas Area, 13-0
Humboldt had no trouble in pounding Pocahontas Area, 13-0 in three innings Tuesday night (June 25) at Pocahontas. Jori Hajek drove in four runs and Ellie Jacobson knocked in two runs to power the Wildcats. Jacobson pitched all three innings and allowed one hit.

Wildcat softball team in 7-3 victory
The No. 3 ranked Humboldt softball team improved its North Central Conference record to 6-1 Monday night (June 24) in a 7-3 victory over Hampton-Dumont-CAL. Ellie Jacobson scattered 8 hits pitching and struck out 9 while Kendal Clark went 4-4 at bat to lead Humboldt’s 9-hit offense.

The Wildcats return home on Monday, July 1 to host Clarion-Goldfield-Dows.
