Progress continues on construction of the new Moffitt Animal Shelter on 19th Street North in Humboldt.
Humboldt Community Animal Shelter Board President Michelle Erickson said they were hoping to open the animal shelter by June 1, but noted the Coronavirus has slowed the project down.
“Cement will soon be poured. There are lots of details yet to do,” Erickson said.
The 30-foot by 50-foot building is enclosed and ready to finish out. It has a steel roof and steel siding and will have some stonework on the front. There are covered dog runs on the south side, and there will be a fenced in play area.
