Neighborly deed helps Ottosen family

Frank and Virginia Hacker of Ottosen became emotional as they looked on and saw a dozen area neighbors join together to rebuild their garage.
The sound of saws, hammers and nailing guns filled the air on a warm June afternoon as neighbors worked to build a new garage all in one day back on June 24.
When their garage burned down on the evening of May 17, it was another small setback in a challenging year for the couple as Frank continues his fight against Large B Cell Lymphoma stage 3 cancer.
“I cried when they got done pouring cement. Everybody says the cost is all taken care of. Nobody will tell me a thing. They just tell me it’s all taken care of,” Frank Hacker said.
