HHS girls win Carroll tournament, move to 22-0

Humboldt’s unbeaten record remains intact after the Wildcats went 5-0 to win the Carroll tournament on Saturday, Sept. 19.
The Wildcats, 22-0 overall, defeated Ar-We-Va, IKM Manning, Newell-Fonda, South Central Calhoun and Carroll to win their third tournament on the season.
HHS in 3-0 sweep at Hampton
The No. 14 ranked Humboldt volleyball team kept their record unblemished by sweeping Hampton-Dumont-CAL in three sets in Hampton on Sept. 17, winning by scores of 25-11, 25-7 and 25-8.
Deni McDaniel led the Wildcats with 29 assists and Jori Hajek made 13 kills at the net to power the Wildcats, who improved to 17-0 overall, 2-0 in the North Central Conference. Emily Zaugg had two ace serves on nine of 10 attempts.
Humboldt returns to action at home on Sept. 24 when Webster City visits the Humboldt gym.
