HHS boys 2nd in Humboldt Invitational

Quinton Orr was first and Eric Wittrock was second individually to lead Humboldt's varsity boys' cross country team to a runner-up finish in the team scoring of the Humboldt Invitational held Monday, Sept. 21 at lower Sheldon Park.

The Wildcats finished with 102 team points to finish behind Gilbert, which won with 90. Clear Lake was third at 128.

Orr finished in 16:22 with Wittrock clocking 17:33. Trevor Jacobson was 23rd in 19:14 and Carter Theesfeld ran 31st in 19:28. Nolan Jergens was 45th in 19:51.

Humboldt returns to action on Monday, Sept. 28, in the Algona Invitational.
