“I can’t imagine what my family would be going through right now. Officers Erin Bennett and Amber Williams saved my life.”
Those words from Humboldt’s Kyle Kluender express an indescribable amount of gratitude, after CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) brought the Iowa State Patrol trooper back to life on Saturday, Jan. 16.
“I want people of Humboldt to know the type of officers we have in Humboldt. It’s a little humbling on my part, because I’m usually on the other side of it and I don’t realize the impact my actions, or my fellow officers’ actions have on people.
“With all of the bad news we’ve heard all over the United States, I just want people to know officers we have here in Humboldt pledge to serve and protect our community and that’s what they do,” Kluender said.
