Humboldt sophomore duo qualifies for state wrestling!

The sophomore duo of Jase Goodell at 126 pounds and Jayden Gargano at 106, will represent Humboldt High School in the upcoming Class 2A state wrestling tournament in Des Moines.
Action begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
Goodell, 31-2, won a district title in Humboldt on Saturday, Feb. 13. Goodell blanked Kellen Moore of Forest City, 9-0 in the district championship match. Goodell's first round opponent at state will be Independence sophomore Carter Straw, 31-10.
Gargano, 27-8, finished runner-up at his weight after falling to Algona's Jacob Zabka in the finals. Gargano's first round opponent at state will be Williamsburg sophomore, Gavin Jensen, 42-4.
