Max Mason scored both goals for Humboldt in a 2-1 overtime victory over Webster City on April 12 in Humboldt. The victory improved the Wildcats to 2-1 on the season.
Wildcats edge Greene County, fall to Storm Lake
Storm Lake handed the Humboldt boys soccer team their first loss of the season Thursday night (April 8) in Humboldt, downing the Wildcats 5-2. Christian Ramirez scored both of Humboldt’s goals as the Wildcats drop to 1-1 on the season.
James Gould scored two goals and Max Mason scored on a penalty kick to lift the Humboldt boys' soccer team past Greene County of Jefferson, 3-2 in a season opener for both schools Monday night (April 5) in Humboldt.
Gould scored the go-ahead kick with 15:00 left in the game to snap a 2-2 tie.
The Wildcats travel to Belmond-Klemme on Thursday, April 22. Humboldt plays at Webster City on Friday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. There will be no JV game. Humboldt visits Clear Lake on April 26. The Wildcats visit Mason City on April 29.
