Wildcats win Bunn Relays

The Humboldt boys' track team hosted their annual Charlie Bunn Relays on Friday, April 9, and came away with the team title.
Humboldt won nine events and scored 188 points. Webster City was runner-up at 145.
Quinton Orr led Humboldt in winning the 1,600 (4:44.19) and 3,200 (10:34.96) events. Aiden Christensen won the high jump (5-10) and Lance Coon won the long jump (19-7). Caden Matson won the 400-meter hurdles in 58.53 seconds and Cale Hundertmark won the 200 (23:52). Eric Wittrock took the 800-meters in a meet record time of 2:00.13. Humboldt also won the shuttle hurdle relay (1:02.54-JCoon, Gerjets, Christensen, Matson. Humboldt was first in the 4x400 relay (3:30.32-Matson, Christensen, Orr, Wittrock). Humboldt’s distance medley relay (3:47.89) of Hubbell, Wickett, Berte and Orr also won gold.
The Wildcats also won the Fort Dodge relays on Monday, April 12. The Wildcats have 5 events in the Drake Relays on Thursday, April 22. Humboldt is at Pocahontas on Friday, April 23. Humboldt visits Emmetsburg on April 27.
