Orr 2nd in 3,200, Clark 3rd in discus at Drake Relays

Quinton Orr was runner-up in the 3,200 meters and Kendal Clark 3rd in the discus to lead Humboldt's contingent in the Drake Relays on April 22 in Des Moines

Orr, a senior, set a new school record with a time of 9:12.69 in the 3,200. He broke the old record which had stood for 35 years. Orr's time is also the 18th best all-time in Iowa

Orr also ran 19th in the 1,600-meters in 4:36.

Orr anchored the Wildcats' 1,600-meter medley relay, which placed 13th in 3:40.71. The relay also included Caden Matson, Cale Hundertmark and Eric Wittrock.

Humboldt's shuttle hurdle relay of Jordan Coon, Troy Gerjets, Jacob Larrabee and Matson were 14th in 1:05.14. Mason also ran 24th in the 110-meter high hurdles in 15.93 seconds.

Clark threw the disc 128-9. She later threw the shot 37-0.75 to finish 11th.
