New Kiddie Cats director has passion for helping children

The Kiddie Cats Child Care and Learning Center has a new director, Hannah McLimans. She began her duties last week.
Hannah grew up in Dakota City and is a 2014 graduate of Humboldt High School. She earned two bachelor degrees from Buena Vista University in human services and psychology. She is working on her master’s degree in social work from Walden University.
McLimans started week on May 24. In the first few days she was able to update the organization’s website and create a new flyer.
“I’ve been trying to crunch numbers and see where we are at. I’ve heard that our rates are competitive. There is an educational aspect to our site. It’s a learning and development center, so it’s more than just child care,” the new director said.
Kiddie Cats runs full-time in the summer and there is no drop off in children. Some of the school age children become full-time users of the center in the summer.
