Humboldt boys in 5-2 victory at Central Springs

Caden Matson pitched seven strong innings to lead the Humboldt baseball team past Central Springs, 5-2 Friday night (June 11) in Manly. The non-conference win improved the Wildcats' record to 11-1 overall.

Humboldt pounds Cadets, 12-2
The Humboldt baseball team improved to 4-0 in the North Central Conference by beating Iowa Falls-Alden, 12-2 in five innings Wednesday night (June 9) in Humboldt. Cade Witzke went the distance pitching for Humboldt, which improved to 10-1 overall.

Wildcats in 10-4 victory at Forest City
Humboldt pounded Forest City for 14 hits en route to a 10-4 non-conference victory in Forest City Tuesday night (June 8). Levi Newton slugged a two-run homer and Hayden Holm earned the win pitching for the Wildcats.

Wildcats rally past Bulldogs, 6-5
Levi Newton hit a bases loaded single to rightfield in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Humboldt baseball team to a 6-5 victory over Hampton-Dumont-CAL on June 7 in Humboldt.

Humboldt trailed 5-1 after two innings but clawed back into the game to set up Newton's game-winning hit. Colby Clarken pitched six innings and Caden Matson threw one inning of relief to lead the Wildcats.

The Wildcats return to action on Monday, June 14, at Fort Dodge St. Edmond.
