Near record attendance at Humboldt County Fair

Hannah Muir of the Humboldt FFA won grand champion market beef honors at the fair. She also had the reserve champion market beef entry. Muir also showed the champion breeding heifer, the champion market heifer, the champion medium weight heifer and the champion heavyweight steer, along with the champion market steer. The Humboldt County Fair concluded a success seven-day run on Monday, July 26, with the annual livestock sale. Sunny skies and warm temperatures dominated throughout last week, with no rain and typical Iowa fair weather. See the special supplement in this week's Humboldt Independent that has photos of the winners and events and results of the Humboldt County 4-H and FFA static exhibits. More fair results will be published in the Aug. 5 edition.
