Humboldt third grader qualifies for national dog show

Humboldt’s Kayln Erickson wowed judges at the Granite City Kennel Club show recently and became the only Iowa Junior Handler to qualify for the National Royal Canine Dog Show in Orlando, FL, later this winter.
Kalyn is the daughter of Erica and Mike Dunlavey and Matt Montgomery from Humboldt. She is a third grader at Taft Elementary School.
While most students her age are just playing with their pets, Kalyn is actively caring for and training her Smooth Fox Terrier, as conferred by her many awards at the Minnesota show.
