In a regular monthly meeting of the Lu Verne School Board on Nov. 22, School Superintendent Jon Hueser told the board the re-organization meeting with Algona will take place on Dec. 6 in the Algona board room.
Algona superintendent Joe Carter and Hueser will review the process of school districts re-organizing. Committee members from each district, six from Algona and four from Lu Verne, will take part in the meeting.
The group will then hold another meeting on Dec. 20 to begin the process.
Hueser stressed with the public that the reason for re-organizing with Algona amounts to a decline in students rather than a financial spending deficit.
