The PPI manufacturing plant in Humboldt last week donated two welders and two drill presses to the Humboldt High School industrial technology department.
Joel Hanus, Humboldt High School industrial technology instructor, says efforts are being increased to develop relationships with area business and industry to help train students for area employment opportunities.
“We have students spending time during the week working at the plant in order to get some work-based experience and develop apprenticeships which can lead to long term career opportunities,” Hanus said.
