1883 Cafe opens in Gilmore City

A pair of Gilmore City couples have opened the 1883 Café in downtown Gilmore City.
Pete and Shannon Carlson and Andrew and Ambere Niles opened the 1883 Café restaurant on Feb. 11 after doing some remodeling. The restaurant seats 86 people and the first night all 86 seats were taken.
“We’ve had a huge response from the community and the surrounding area,” Pete Carlson said.
1883 is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There are daily lunch specials, plus they’re offering fish specials during Lent. Every Saturday night they will feature a different smoked meat special cooked on Andrew’s smoker. See the entire story in this week's Humboldt Independent.
