Humboldt High senior Marissa Kaufman will take her talents to Iowa Central Community College this fall, where she will join the Triton volleyball team.

Kaufman, a 6-foot frontline player who was an all-conference performer for Humboldt’s unbeaten North Central Conference championship team, signed a letter of intent to play for the Tritons last week.

“It’s an awesome feeling to sign with Iowa Central. I’m super-excited to play there next year,” Kaufman said.

“I like that I have girls on the team that I already know in Jori Hajek and Deni McDaniel. Iowa Central has a really good program. They’ve made it to nationals the last few years and I love their coaches,” Kaufman said.
