Humboldt boys win Lynx Invitational

The Humboldt boys track team took advantage of an opportunity to compete in an outdoor meet Tuesday night in Webster City and won the team title of the Lynx invitational.
The Wildcats finished with 106 team points. Runner-up Clear Lake had 102.
The Wildcats won three events. Senior Trevor Jacobson won the 800 meters in 2:09.40 and Mason Van Pelt won the 400 meters in 54.29 seconds. Humboldt's shuttle hurdle relay also took first with a winning time of 1:04.07. The relay was comprised of Jordan Coon, Coen Matson, Keegan Groat and Caden Matson.
The Wildcats will host a new meet on Thursday, April 21. Humboldt visits Pocahontas on Friday, April 22. The Wildcats are at Emmetsburg on Tuesday, April 26.
