Wildcat girls blank Ogden, move to 5-0 overall

Humboldt's varsity softball team moved to 5-0 overall on the young season by shutting out Ogden, 13-0 in Ogden on June 3. Rylee Coyle homered and was one of five Wildcats with two hits apiece. Addie Thompson, Alexis Hansen, Macey Varangkounh and Paige Opheim each had two hits for Humboldt. Elsie Hubbell pitched three strong innings for the Wildcats to earn the win.

Humboldt softball team in 9-3 victory over Lions
The Humboldt softball team improved to 4-0 overall, 2-0 in conference play by stopping the Clear Lake Lions, 9-3 in Humboldt on Thursday night (June 2). Humboldt used a 9-run third inning to take command against the Lions.

Reagan Lee earned the win pitching for the Wildcats. She went 3-for-3 at bat with a double and triple. Rylee Coyle was 3-for-4 with two doubles. Macey Varangkounh was 3-for-4 with a double.

Wildcat girls topple Cowgirls, 17-5
The Humboldt softball team belted five home runs and got strong pitching from Elsie Hubbell to whip the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirls, 17-5 in five innings on June 1 in Clarion.

Alexis Hansen clubbed two homers, Rylee Coyle belted two homers and Addison Thompson homered to power the Wildcats, who moved to 3-0 overall, 1-0 in North Central Conference play.

Humboldt girls rally past Newell-Fonda, 7-6
The Humboldt softball team rallied to a 7-6 victory over Class 1A power Newell-Fonda Friday night (May 27) in Humboldt in non-conference action.

Reagan Lee earned the win pitching for Humboldt in relief of Elsie Hubbell.

Humboldt visits Hampton on June 6. The Wildcats host Emmetsburg on June 7. Humboldt travels to Iowa Falls on June 8 and visits Belmond-Klemme on June 9. The Wildcats host Algona on June 10.
