Following a 20-minute closed session, the Humboldt County 911 Service Board unanimously agreed to a settlement agreement as presented.
No details of the settlement agreement were released, as attorneys for Humboldt County’s insurance liability carrier and for the 911 Service Board liability carrier must sign off on documents.
One thing is certain, effective on May 26, Cherese Sexe, a 25-year employee with the county, is no longer the county’s 911 database operations manager. That fact was confirmed by E-911 Service Board Chairman Erik Underberg after last Thursday’s meeting.
Following the closed session, the 911 Service Board conducted a Zoom meeting with GeoComm, a Global Information Systems service provider from the greater Minneapolis area. The county will pay the company $7,980 the first year, doing many of the same services Sexe was providing for the county. The Board agreed to enter into a five-year contract. Charges will increase from $375-$450 per year under the agreement.
