Wildcats in 12-7 victory over Broncos

The Humboldt softball team moved to 7-1 overall by stopping the Belmond-Klemme Broncos, 12-7 Thursday night (June 9) at Belmond.

Abby Armitage and Elsie Hubbell handled the pitching with Hubbell getting the win. Rylee Coyle homered and Macey Varangkounh tripled to lead Humboldt at the plate.

Wildcat girls blast Cadets, 15-4
The Humboldt softball team got back on the winning track Wednesday night (June 8) by beating Iowa Falls-Alden, 15-4 in 5 innings.

Addison Thompson was 2-2 with a triple and Gracie Lyon was 2-3 with a homer and a double to power Humboldt, 6-1 overall, 3-1 in conference play. Elsie Hubbell earned the win pitching.

Late rally upends Humboldt, 14-13
Hampton-Dumont-CAL scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the seventh inning for a14-13 victory over the Humboldt softball team Monday night, June 6 at Hampton.

Rylee Coyle homered twice and Alexis Hansen and Addie Thompson each hit a homer for Humboldt. Elsie Hubbell took the liss pitching.

Humboldt’s home game with Emmetsburg on June 7 was called off in tbe second inning due to rain.

The Wildcats host Algona on Friday, June 10.
