Wildcat baseball team edges Central Springs, 6-5
Humboldt scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally past Central Springs, 6-5 in a non-conference game in Humboldt on Thursday night (June 9). Hayden had three hits and Caden Matson homered to power the Wildcats. Evan Hatcher struck out six from the mound as Humboldt improved to 8-2 overall. It was the Wildcats' eighth straight victory.
Wildcat boys whip Cadets in 6 innings, 13-0
Humboldt won their seventh straight game Wednesday night (June 8) by shutting out Iowa Falls-Alden, 13-0 in six innings in a North Central Conference game at Iowa Falls.
Humboldt is now 4-1 in NCC action.
Baseball team in 10-0 shutout over Forest City
Humboldt improved their record to 6-2 overall Tuesday night (June 7) by shutting out Forest City, 10-0 in five innings in Humboldt. Levi Newton hit two homers and drove in four runs to pace the Wildcats. Trevor Jacobson hit a three-run double to end the contest. Hayden Holm pitched all five innings to earn the win on the mound for Humboldt.
Humboldt downs Hampton-Dumont-CAL, 3-1
Humboldt picked up another conference victory on the road Monday night (June 6) by turning back the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs, 3-1 in seven innings in Hampton. Humboldt scored two runs in the top of the first inning to take command.
The Wildcats host Algona on Friday, June 10, in a key conference clash.
