Fair Queen entries wanted

Entries are wanted for Humboldt County Fair Queen, Princess, Junior Miss and Little Miss and Mister for the 2022 Humboldt County Fair.
Deadline for Fair Queen and Princess entries is June 17. Junior Miss, Little Miss and Mister deadline is July 8. See ad elsewhere in this issue for more information.
The 2022 Humboldt County Fair runs July 19-25.
Grandstand events get underway on Wednesday, July 20, at 7 p.m. with the Little Miss and Mister contest, 4-H Style Show and Fair Queen contest. Admission to the grandstand is free.
Thursday night, July 21, comedian C. Willi Myles will perform a show at 7 p.m. Admission to the grandstand is free.
On Friday, July 22, the Outlaws Truck and Tractor Pull starts at 7 p.m.
A Demo Derby is planned for 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 23.
On Sunday, July 24, the ever popular Tough Truck competition starts at 7 p.m. with the chainsaw auction taking place at intermission at 8 p.m.
The fair closes out with the livestock auction on Monday, July 25, at 8:30 a.m.
Helicopter rides return for the fair Wednesday through Sunday.
Next Generation Shows will return once again with rides on the midway.
There’s plenty of other free entertainment including a mobile escape room, free magic shows Friday through Sunday and Dream Carriage rides.
Livestock shows are scheduled throughout the fair. 4-H exhibits will be in the air conditioned North Events Center.
Regular favorite food booths return as well as some new food trucks that will be on the grounds.
Weekend events include a tractor ride, mud volleyball, horseshoe tossing, cook-off contest, bag tournament, Cowboy Church, pedal tractor pull, talent show and more.
