Humboldt boys in 11-4 victory at Algona

Humboldt's varsity baseball team got back into the win column by stopping the Algona Bulldogs, 11-4 at Algona on June 22 in conference action.

Humboldt scored four runs in the second inning and never let up in sweeping the Bulldogs this season. Caden Matson and Jayden Gargano combined to limit the Algona lineup at the plate, scattering seven hits. Humboldt moved to 9-2 in the NCC.

ELC topples Wildcats, 12-2
No. 2 ranked (Class 2A) Estherville-Lincoln Central jumped on Humboldt early and went on to post a 12-2 victory over the Wildcats in 5 innings Tuesday night, June 21 in Humboldt in non-conference play. The Wildcats are now 12-5 overall. ELC improved to 21-2.

Wildcat boys in 16-1 victory at Clarion
The Humboldt baseball team got back on the winning track Monday night (June 20) by drubbing Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, 16-1 in five innings in Clarion.

Caden Matson, Jayden Gargano and Isaiah Busick handled the pitching duties for Humboldt.

Humboldt will host Hampton-Dumont-CAL on Friday, June 24, for another league matchup.
