Humboldt Parks Director Clayton Vorland was very tired but satisfied when the rains came last Friday afternoon.
After a full week of lifting and setting, sawing and screwing, sweating and fretting, the new rendition of the Wildcat Wonderland Playground was completed.
Well, almost. If people are wondering about the piles of material around the outside of the playground, Vorland is waiting for the poured-in-place surfacing to be laid around the playground piece structures.
The Parks Director reported the number of volunteers participating in the playground build was around 400 people.
